Grand March

The Grand March provides an opportunity for the Carlton grad and guest to be introduced in their formal outfits.

Procedure for Grand March

Students are to be at the Art Hauser Centre no later than 6:45 p.m. for the Grand March.  The Grand March will start at 7:30 p.m.

Students will be seated in chairs on the east side of the walkway.  Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are photo opportunities available following the Grand March.  *It is very important for students to remain seated during the Grand March.  Sit down immediately following your introduction.  All grads and escorts are asked to remain seated until the last grad is introduced.

A professional photographer will take a formal picture of the grads when they are introduced on stage.  All of the Grand March and Cap & Gown pictures will be transferred to a CD that you can purchase.  Please pay for this when you have your grad photo taken at the school.  Parents please do not crowd around the stage as with this purchase you’ll not only get a professional picture of your son/daughter; you’ll get all their friends on disc as well.

A formal dance will follow the Grand March.  We encourage you to include a variety of partners in these dances.  This is a great way to say thank you to those who made a difference in the grad’s life.

The five songs will be picked by the grads, according to the Grand March Parent Committee.
